Buenos Aires, March 25 (NA) – The Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, would have acquired an apartment in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Caballito without disposing of the property in which he previously resided in Parque Chacabuco, according to official records from the Real Estate Registry. The new property is located on Mirro street at number 500 and is registered in the name of the official along with his wife, Bettina Angeletti. In this way, both appear as owners of at least two homes in the City of Buenos Aires, in addition to other assets previously declared. The information came to light after it was confirmed that the official had moved to Caballito, although that property does not yet appear in his last sworn statement. When consulted on the matter, Adorni avoided giving details and stated that “what is not declared is because the sworn statement has not expired.” According to La Nación, the head of the Cabinet already had a property in Parque Chacabuco—on Asamblea street—that he maintains in his assets, which raised questions about the evolution of his assets since he took office in December 2023. The case adds to other recent questions related to his financial situation, including the purchase of a home in a gated community by his wife and a trip to Punta del Este on a private plane, which also generated political repercussions. In this context, Adorni assured that his assets were built during his activity in the private sector and emphasized that he has “nothing to hide,” in the midst of the controversy generated by the disclosure of his assets.
